College Placement
GSSM has two highly-qualified and experienced college counselors.
The
approach to college counseling is very "hands-on" and begins with a
college and scholarship workshop held in the early spring for all
juniors. This workshop covers the basics of the college admissions
process.
Following the workshop, each junior has an individual
conference with his or her college counselor to begin the college and
career selection process. This process continues throughout the
student's junior and senior years.
The college counselor helps the students with decisions about where to apply and assists them through the application process. The student's college counselor also writes the counselor's recommendation for applications.
