Mme. Eykyn teaches French 101, 201, 301, 401, and Independent Study 501and 601, and sponsors the French Club (bien sur!), the Art Club, the Intercultural Relations Club and the French Honor Society. She has studied at La Sorbonne (Paris) and l'Universite de Laval (Quebec).
Prior to coming to GSSM, Mme. Eykyn taught in Charleston County where she was honored as a Teacher of the Year in 1990. She was also an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston and a teaching assistant at USC. Mme. Eykyn and her husband, Don, are the proud parents of 14-year-old Liza, who is, of course, bilingual.
Dr. Eykyn enjoys traveling in France, Quebec and around the US. She also enjoys art, reading and gardening and loves animals. Her pets are also bilingual.
