GSSM Survival Guide

Wednesday, October 24, 2012 - 5:15pm

When I first arrived at GSSM, it was all a little overwhelming for me and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Grades were hard for the students because they weren’t expecting the level of work they received and halfway through the year a few students had moved back to their old schools.

I decided to create the Ultimate Survival Guide to GSSM to help students coming in to GSSM and to give a quick, fun and easy way to get information from the perspective of a student.

I used this Guide for The Gold Award which is facilitated by the Girl Scouts of America. It requires Senior Girl Scouts to develop and complete an eighty hour project within their community on an issue they are passionate about. It has been found that 5.4% of all eligible Girl Scouts receive this award and they develop leadership and knowledge of solving real world problems.

After reading the Ultimate Survival Guide to GSSM, please take a moment to fill out the survey below to help improve the guide. Thank you for your time!
