Varsity Sports

A full range of fall and spring sports keep GSSM students busy.

Varsity sports include volleyball, cross-country, swimming, tennis, girls tennis, basketball, boys and girls soccer, golf and track. The competition is fierce with teams bringing home regional and state championships annually. Most of the GSSM teams participate in a 1A Region.  

In the past year, volleyball won the Region VIIA championship. Girls' tennis won the Region VIIA championship. And the swimming team had five students compete in the state championship.

Boys' cross-country competed in the state championship, finishing in the Top 15.  Track had four individuals make it to lower state championships. GSSM also boasts the boys' state one-mile and two-mile champion. Soccer won the Region VIIA championship, losing in the state semi-finals.
