How to Give
The GSSM Foundation offers several ways to designate gifts.
Annual Fund
- Business Advisory Council (BAC) - The Business Advisory Council is an opportunity for corporate and individual donors across the state to support GSSM through a three-year pledge to the GSSM Foundation. Gifts range from $1,000 - $10,000 annually. The BAC helps to fund everything from scholarships and technology to robotics and summer camps.
- Smart Giving - The Smart Giving Annual Fund is an opportunity for parents, alumni and friends to support the daily mission and goals of our nationally ranked School. This fund also supports scholarships and financial aid, classroom equipment, summer research and more. Gifts range from $25 - $10,000.
Endowment
There are several ways to donate to the GSSM Foundation:
Cash
Many gifts made to the Foundation are in the form of cash. This method is particularly convenient for end-of-year giving. Make sure that the check and envelope, if mailed, are dated or postmarked by December 31 if you wish to receive tax credit for that calendar year.
Pledges
Donors may wish to pledge over a number of months/years. The Foundation will send an invoice according to the schedule a donor chooses.
On-line Giving

Securities and Real Estate
The GSSM Foundation accepts gifts of appreciated securities. This type of gift may be tax-advantaged.
Matching Gifts
Many employers have corporate matching gift programs. Donors can often double their gifts through these programs. Each company has different guidelines, so donors are encouraged to check with their company's personnel or human resources office for the necessary forms.
Honorary and Memorial Gifts
A gift in memory or in honor of a teacher, student, alumnus, or friend is a meaningful way to recognize a person's life and accomplishments. When an honorary or memorial gift is received, the Foundation notifies the honoree or family and the gift is administered as the contributor specifies. Donors are asked to provide the Foundation with the name and address of those whom you would like notified.
