GSSM Alumni Association to Launch Raleigh, D.C. Chapters

Govies can be found in every corner of the globe, whether it be in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Charleston or Chicago. Starting this month there's a new way to keep in touch with GSSM's growing alumni network --- the GSSM Alumni Association is launching its first two area chapters in Raleigh, N.C. and Washington, D.C.!

The primary purpose of the chapters is to reconnect GSSM alumni through social opportunities.

GSSM Hiring Program Director for New College Readiness Initiative

GSSM is seeking an Outreach Program Director to direct its new From Middle School to College program.

The successful candidate will possess an advanced degree in science, mathematics, education, or a related field. A minimum of five years teaching experience in a middle or high school is preferred. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators, develop and evaluate programs, and coordinate multiple tasks.  The understanding of teaching and learning, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proficiency in written and oral communication are needed.

This is a grant-funded and full-time State of South Carolina position with benefits. Travel is required for working with partner schools and districts.
