In the spirit of the holidays, GSSM students are busy giving back to charities. Here are a few updates:
The Interact Club sold 50 boxes of donuts, raising over $130, which will go towards buying livestock for Heifer International.
The Interact Club also implemented a food drive to assist local families in the Hartsville area.
The National Honor Society (NHS) has been working with the Saleby Center in Hartsville, a home that helps developmentally-challenged young people. Each year NHS works with this organization to bring a little bit of Christmas to each of the residents. The Center provides a list of toys and gifts clients have requested and GSSM students purchase, wrap and deliver the items to residents.
***Special Thanks goes to all those who have provided donations.
Kicking off their reading day on Thursday, December 8, GSSM students were treated by faculty and staff to a delicious breakfast. This Breakfast of Champions is a tradition at the School and is organized by John Batten, GSSM director of campus life. The meal gives students a nice break from their studies, as well as a boost of energy! Below are photos from the event.
