Meet GoSciTech Camper Sam Larson

June 30, 2015

Sam Larson is a rising freshman from Aiken, SC and will be attending Aiken High School this fall. Sam’s hobbies are making paper cranes (which she’s made an abundance of these past two weeks), reading and ballet.

Sam took Classical Physics, taught by Dr. Patrick Briggs, during her first week of GoSciTech because she found it interesting to see what it was like as a class in preparation for high school and she was interested in possibly pursing physics as a major in college. Because she loved her first week so much, Sam came back for a second week of GoSciTech to take Brain Reigns Supreme with Dr. Roger Newman-Norlund, because of her interest in neuroscience and psychology.

Sam’s favorite part of her experience at GoSciTech has been the student assistants (whoop whoop!) and being able to learn from teachers who are professionals in their fields. So far, Sam is still thinking about her plans for the future, but she currently plans to pursue something in math and science field, possibly engineering. Sam plans to apply to GSSM in the future and we wish her the best of luck!
