While we held out hope that we would be able to host an exciting summer full of camps all across the state, as well as welcome you to create an amazing summer experience here at GSSM, it is with a heavy heart that we announce we will not be able to offer our GoSciTech, iTEAMS, and CREATEng summer camps this year. We were so thrilled about this summer with all of the amazing experiences planned and the exciting classes offered. Our Outreach Center team will develop a series of virtual STEM summer academic learning experiences that we will make available to rising 6th – 10th grade students. We will provide you with information about these offerings and how you can participate as they are developed. We are committed to working to make our GSSM Summer Camps the ultimate camp experience, and we hope that you will be available to join us again at GoSciTech, CREATEng, and iTEAMS Xtreme next year!

Innovate. Design. Create.

CREATEng is GSSM’s one-of-a-kind engineering and design thinking day camp for rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders. In CREATEng, students take on the role of NASA engineers charged with developing a sustainable colony on Mars. Working through project-based, hands-on team challenges, students learn what engineering is and what engineers do. With a focus on civil, biomedical, and aerospace engineering students work through a series of mini challenges from building windproof structures to protecting human life from the harsh environment of outer space.

CREATEng students will interact with guest speakers and go on a field trip to a local company to see engineering in action.
