Below are dates and deadlines for GSSM students that are sponsored/supported/promoted by the Office of College Counseling and Advising (OCCA). The schedule is subject to change; students and parents should read GSSM email communications regularly to stay up to date on college planning events and deadlines.
The College Knowledge E-news is sent out to all GSSM parents (Residential, STEM Foundations and Accelerate programs) mid-month.
January 2023
1/2 Regular Decision Application deadline for Clemson University
1/18 Junior parent meeting (Residential Program) with OCCA staff on campus (prior to winter break)
February 2023
2/11 ACT at Cheraw High School
March 2023
3/7 ACT testing for juniors at GSSM (state testing)
3/11 SAT at Cheraw High School
3/14 Center for Academic Success Parent Talk (featuring College Counseling)
3/22 SAT testing for juniors at GSSM (state testing)
3/30 WIN testing for all juniors at GSSM
April 2023
4/10 - 16 Spring Break
4/15 ACT at Home (spring break)
May 2023
5/1 - 12 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams at GSSM
5/6 SAT at Camden High School
5/27 Graduation at GSSM
