There are no tuition charges at GSSM, just a meal fee and one-time security deposit. No student will be denied participation in GSSM’s residential program due to inability to pay fees—financial aid is available.Fees and Financial Aid
Sent on behalf of Vice President for Finance and Operations, Mr. Brock Heron:
Dear GSSM community,
As part of our Campus COVID-19 Protocol, I am writing to inform you of 2 recently identified cases.
Two GSSM students tested positive for COVID-19 after returning home from campus last week.
Following DHEC protocols, contact tracing was conducted, and those found to have been in close contact with the students have been notified and advised. DHEC and SC Department of Education have also been properly notified.
We wish these students well and look forward to hearing the good news of their recovery soon.
Since students moved out last week, the residence halls are being deep-cleaned and disinfected as planned by an external vendor. Of course, we will continue our enhanced cleaning and sanitizing routine. Please join me in thanking our cleaning staff who have been vigilant in disinfecting surfaces repeatedly during the day.
As cases in our area and region increase, we must all remain diligent in maintaining social distancing, wearing a face-covering, frequently washing our hands, and screening ourselves for COVID-19 symptoms before entering campus each day.
If you have symptoms or have had close contact with a person who has tested positive, please contact Human Resources immediately. By being disciplined around these practices, we are protecting everyone's safety and aiding in the prevention of spreading COVID-19 on our campus.
If you have any questions, please contact GSSM Human Resources at firstname.lastname@example.org.
