IT System Database Administrator - Residential

GSSM seeks an exceptional IT professional to serve as Database Administrator. This is a key position in the GSSM organization responsible for the acquisition, deployment, and management of information systems used by GSSM constituents, including, but not limited to students, faculty, staff, and families. This includes ongoing needs assessment, security, planning with colleagues in all areas, reporting and auditing. The selected candidate will work closely with other IT colleagues to accomplish direct job responsibilities and also to provide backup assistance in other areas when needed.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred), five years of full-time successful experience in a comparable role, thorough understanding of database and application security, design, deployment and management, warehousing, archival, scripting and testing in small-medium scale organizations. Higher or secondary education experience is helpful. Infrequent evening and weekend work is required and should be expected.

The Database/Security Administrator is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits available. The position target start date is July 6, 2015. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education, experience and unique qualifications. GSSM is a nationally recognized advanced educational institution, featuring both a residential program and Statewide Outreach programs.
