Outreach Mathematics Instructor and Program Coordinator

GSSM seeks an exceptional Mathematics instructor and program coordinator to develop and deliver innovative distance education (virtual) mathematics courses in partnership with school districts across the state. Working with the GSSM Center for Outreach team, this individual will also conduct professional development sessions for teachers and STEM learning experiences for students that integrate cutting edge  STEM learning technologies.

The successful candidate will possess an advanced degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field.  Desired qualifications include a strong content background in mathematics, experience in teaching mathematics at college or advanced high school levels, knowledge and application of technology, an understanding of diverse learners, and enthusiasm for teaching and developing STEM educational experiences for students and teachers.  Candidates familiar with teaching distance education (virtual) courses are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators, develop and evaluate programs, coordinate multiple tasks, and work in a collaborative team setting. 

This is a full-time 12-month position with benefits available. Compensation is competitive based on credentials, experience and other unique qualifications.  Some travel is required for working with partner districts and schools.
