Outreach Program Coordinator

GSSM seeks an enthusiastic professional to assist with the programmatic functions of the diverse Center for Science Education and Outreach Center statewide programs by providing coordination between academic partners and other constituents, interaction with students and parents, enrollment services coordination, and administrative support. This position will be multi-faceted with responsibilities in processing hiring paperwork, maintaining the Outreach Center equipment inventory, providing support for ordering program materials and supplies, and assisting with the preparation of school year and summer Outreach programs and special events, which includes program registration. The Outreach Program Coordinator will have the opportunity to be a part of a positive and creative Outreach Center team and provide executive support to the Sr. VP for Virtual and Outreach.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated through experience and success the ability to carry out the core functions of the position. The necessary credentials include a Bachelor’s degree or supportive degree and/or credentials in a field of relevant program support, coordination, and executive administrative assistance. Desired qualifications include multiple years of relevant varied program support, coordination experience, and executive administrative assistant experience; experience using personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet, database software, program management software, and inventory software. The candidate must have a proven ability to collaborate with diverse groups of constituents such as teachers, administrators, students, and parents. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

This is a full-time 12-month position with benefits available. Compensation is competitive based on credentials, experience and other unique qualifications.
