The PI Systems Architect manages NetWeaver Process Integration software with responsibilities for configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the PI technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing installations, upgrades, and maintenance.  Involved with design reviews, systems testing and data modeling on complex projects, this professional collaborates closely with business and functional personnel to determine requirements.  The PI Systems Architect works seamlessly with the ERP, BASIS, and B2B teams to evaluate, design, implement and support enterprise application integration. 


Additional areas include staying abreast of new technologies and effectively applying previous experience to new applications and problem resolution.  The PI Architect also provides leadership and direction for less experienced Analysts and Developers.


Essential Job Duties:  

PI integration including working in latest SAP versions PI 7.1 or higher, with standard communication protocols, service oriented architecture, web service, performance tuning and code optimization, configuration/implementation of adapters (IDoc, EDI, RFC, JDBC, File, Proxy, SOAP, HTTP, REST) and design/configuration/support of BPMs
Lead process improvement, with an emphasis toward analytics and process management.
Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of impacted systems and interfaces.
Communication of technical issues/solutions to all levels of individuals, including managers, directors, and executives.
Documents technical architecture of the PI environment. 
Researches new technologies and development tools to remain informed and provide direction on mapping out a technology roadmap for future development.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the PI Systems Architect position.

Works under minimal supervision 
Reports to eBusiness Development Manager


5-7+ years of SAP PI experience.
Advanced problem solving, analytical and design skills at multiple product level.
Advanced skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation with a proven ability to grow through self-study.
Advanced understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
Solid communication skills to interface with business users for understanding and documenting requirements with the goal of developing and potentially enhancing business processes.


Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or related experience.
Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)
