I have worked at GSSM for 3 years.
How long have you worked in academia?
The past 3 years, I have served as a master class instructor of brass clinics for high schools in the upstate and lower state regions. I have 2 1/2 years of experience in teaching music history and theory. Since 2010, I have served as a private instructor of trumpet, teaching musicians between ages 11 and 40 years of age, of beginning to advanced levels.
Tell us what you love about working at GSSM.
Each year has been a very enriching experience and highly rewarding! The students are very passionate in their work, and you really can see it here, in everything they do. The campus community at GSSM is very unique; there is a splendor of talent that presents itself among our art and music students, who continue to reveal their intellect through their ability to draw the connections between math, history, and science to art and music. The environment here is welcoming, safe, and high-energy. I love the energy and pride that emerges from the grounds of GSSM- you can feel it once you step foot on the campus!
