Columbia, SC — The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) Foundation Marketing Department was recognized by the South Carolina Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA) with five Silver Wing Awards. Lauren Shirley, the GSSM Foundation’s PR & Marketing Coordinator, was named SCPRSA Rookie of the Year, awarded to a practitioner with less than three years of experience in the public relations field.
SCPRSA hosted its annual Mercury Awards on May 4 to recognize South Carolina communications professionals for their outstanding work. Silver Wing Awards recognize innovative and superior tactics used in public relations.
