Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics Foundation Honored at SCPRSA Mercury Awards

Columbia, SC — The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) Foundation Marketing Department was recognized by the South Carolina Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA) with five Silver Wing Awards. Lauren Shirley, the GSSM Foundation’s PR & Marketing Coordinator, was named SCPRSA Rookie of the Year, awarded to a practitioner with less than three years of experience in the public relations field. 

SCPRSA hosted its annual Mercury Awards on May 4 to recognize South Carolina communications professionals for their outstanding work. Silver Wing Awards recognize innovative and superior tactics used in public relations.

Led by Kim Bowman, CEO, the GSSM Foundation Marketing Department consists on Alison Mann, Director of Marketing, and Lauren Shirley, PR & Marketing Coordinator. They also work with Nick Kask of Kask Creativity, Cyberwoven, and Sandy Andrews, professional photographer.
