October 19, 2015

Two GSSM students have earned spots in statewide Regional Orchestras.

Isaiah J. Ho, GSSM Class of 2017, auditioned for the Upstate Region Orchestra on October  and earned 2nd violin in the Senior Honors Orchestra. Isaiah, son of Ms. Wing M. Lau and Dr. Chi M. Ho, is originally from Simpsonville, South Carolina. He is in his first year at GSSM.

Narae Lee, daughter of Gillean Lee and Rang Oh,  placed 16th First-Violin, out of 36 total violins who made the orchestra. Approximately 95 violin students auditioned for 11-12 Region Ochestra. Narae is originally from Greenwood, South Carolina, and is a Senior at GSSM.

Region Orchestras bring together the most talented ochestral students across South Carolina to play together in a setting that encourages an interest in the study of string instruments beyond the school setting.
