Students at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) are hosting a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Scrimmage for the 2016 Game Challenge entitled “Res-Q” on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 401 Railroad Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550.

This scrimmage is open to all FTC teams across the state, as well as North Carolina and Georgia. It will provide participants the opportunity to prepare for the South Carolina Regional Competition later in the month.

"Team 772 is so excited to host its second annual FIRST Tech Challenge scrimmage at GSSM. We look forward to practicing our skills, improving our robot, and collaborating with teams traveling from three different states to participate,” said Grace Brueggman, GSSM’s FTC Team 772 Outreach Captain.

Seventeen teams have already registered for the scrimmage including teams from Hartsville, Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and Summerville, along with teams from Charlotte and Durham, North Carolina, and teams from Snellville, Toombs and Roswell, Georgia.
