Meet the ENGAGE & Women in Computer Science Student Leaders

Caroline Locklair

Hi, I’m Caroline Locklair from Charleston, SC! My favorite subjects are math, engineering, and physics. I’m Co-Captain of FTC Team 772, the Golden Dragons, and serve as the ENGAGE Robotics Lead. I’m also Vice President of both the Garden and Astronomy Clubs, as well as a Student Ambassador. Outside of academics, I enjoy creating visual art, reading, and tumbling. Fun fact: my favorite movie is Coraline! I’m so excited for this year of ENGAGE and can’t wait to meet the students!

Miriam Morales

Hello! My name is Miriam Morales, and I’m from Myrtle Beach, SC. My main interests are robotics, Spanish, and engineering, and many of the clubs I’m involved in reflect those passions. I serve as Co-Captain of FTC Team 327 Lobotomists and Vice President of the Robotics Club, and I’m also active in Spanish Club, Environmental Club, Badminton, Baking, and Bubble Club. In addition, I tutor students in Spanish and engineering. Outside of school, you’ll often find me studying, spending time with friends, or enjoying a walk around Hartsville. I’m excited for this next chapter of our club and can’t wait to see students just as ENGAGEd as I am in these student-led classes!

Lavanthi Narasimman

Hi! I’m Lavanthi Narasimman from Fort Mill, South Carolina. I’m passionate about business, robotics, and computer science—especially AI and machine learning. I’m a coder on the all-girls FTC Team 327 Lobotomists, President of my school’s Computer Science Club, and leader of Spark Computer Science. Beyond school, I serve as a Student Youth Representative and Tech Team Founder for Tamil Sangam, a nonprofit dedicated to helping kids stay connected to their Tamil language and culture. I also founded MyDanceMa, a local nonprofit that teaches dance to people of all ages. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and series, writing stories, choreographing dances, working out, and trying new foods. Fun fact: my favorite childhood movie is Kung Fu Panda!

Jharna Patel

Hi, I’m Jharna, and I’m from Lexington, SC. In my free time, I enjoy journaling and collecting stationery. My favorite subject is computer science, and I serve as Leader of WompSci and Programming Lead for FTC Team 327 Lobotomists. I’m also part of the Board team for PyGirls, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding computer science education for middle school girls through in-person and virtual workshops and webinars.

Aishwarya Prabhakaran

Hi, my name is Aishwarya, and I’m from Fort Mill, SC. My favorite subjects are biology and AP Human Geography, and I hope to pursue a future in biology and medicine. This year, I’m taking courses like medical mycology and neuroscience to explore those interests further. I currently serve as Student Council President, MUN President, and Ambassador, and I’m also involved in clubs such as Bollywood Club. Outside of school, I enjoy watching romcoms, reading, and going on walks. I’m excited to meet everyone and to share my love of biology!

Hi! My name is Caroline Pringle, and I’m from Clover, SC. I’m Co-Captain of FTC Team 772, The Golden Dragons, and Co-President of SWE, with strong interests in engineering and the environment. I’m really excited to be part of this club and to work alongside such an amazing group. Fun fact: my twin brother is also attending GSSM!
