Sent on behalf of Vice President for Student Development, Dr. Emilye Mobley:
I hope you are safely enjoying this special time of year with your family and friends. Despite the challenges of 2020, including the recent loss of one of our community members, there is still a great deal to be grateful for as we anticipate 2021.
On behalf of Mr. Dorsel and myself, we thank those of you who joined us for the Spring Semester Q&A on Monday, December 21. We appreciate you taking the time to be a part of this meeting. Your thoughtful questions and commitment to partner with us make all the difference in our students' and school's success.
I am writing to remind you about the January 1, 2021 deadline for submitting the release regarding the first seven-week residency period scheduled to begin on Sunday, January 24. Details can be found in my December 4 correspondence, which is provided here. The release can be accessed through GSSM's Online Portal.
Whatever your decision, we are asking all families to submit the document. Both a student and parent/guardian signature and date must be electronically affixed to the release by Friday, January 1, 2021, in order for the submission to be received and placement within the residency to be granted to the student.
Any forms not completed or submitted by the deadline will automatically default to "I do not wish to/I do not wish for my student to participate in the residential experience." If you have any trouble accessing and/or submitting the release form, please contact Mrs. Heather B. Carabo, Program and Administrative Coordinator for Academic Affairs and Student Development.
Enjoy these last few days of 2020 as you look forward to 2021. My prayer is that you will be safe and well always.
Happy New Year!
Yours for GSSM,
Emilye Mobley, PhD
