Have you been accepted to GSSM's Residential program? Congratulations!
Several weeks before move-in day, each family receives comprehensive information about what to bring and how to transition to life in-residence. The information below is just a starting point, answering the questions we hear most often.
Students at GSSM live in single-gender residence halls. Suite-style bathrooms are shared by a pair of adjoined rooms and maintained by the four residents who share the bathroom. Bathrooms have a tub, a shower, and a toilet.
Each dorm is outfitted with two beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, two bookshelves, one sink and one closet.
Roommates & Suitemates
GSSM students will have a roommate and two suitemates. Students may request roommates, and most requests are honored if both students place the request. New Student Orientation in May is a great time to try to find a roommate with common interests and desires.
If a roommate is not requested, the residence life staff will pair students with like interests and habits based on a survey taken during Orientation. Students will receive contact information for their roommate and suitemates prior to the start of the school year so that they can communicate about joint needs for their dorm room like rugs, decorations and refrigerators. If a roommate problem occurs, you can switch roommates if all four suitemates are in agreement.
