How long have you worked at GSSM?

As of November, 2015, I will be employed with GSSM for approx. 9 yrs. as a Receptionist and Facilities/Vehicle Maintenance Assistant.
How long have you worked in academia?

Tell us what you love about working at GSSM.

I love to see how the Juniors matured into young adults by their Senior year. Makes me proud to be part of GSSM. This school has taught them so much.

Please list and describe any personal information you would like to share.

I love to paint/draw. I enjoy being home in the garden and keeping chickens as a hobby. I consider myself somewhat of a homebody. Over the years, with much traveling, I've decided that home is what I enjoy the most.

What would your students be surprised to learn about you?

I was born in Germany, and came to the U.S. when I was 3 yrs. old and later became a U.S. Citizen. I am proud to be an American.

What is your perfect pizza?

I love anchovy pizza. The kind from up North w/ thin crust, that when you fold it in half, the grease runs down the arm.

What's the best thing about Hartsville?

Love Hartsville because of it's quaint style. Big enough to keep your privacy and small enough to be part of the community. Lots of things to do without having to travel to a bigger city and close enough if you want to go to the big city. Very sweet place to live in. "Love it here"

Who would be invited to your fantasy dinner party (living or deceased) and why?

Family members no longer living (miss them).

What's your favorite quote?

"If you can't wear it, and you can't eat it, you don't need it." That's my personal quote. I used to tell my kids this when they kept begging me for stuff. I also, tell my grand kids this now. It's my way of telling them to appreciate what they have, not just because others have stuff.
