What is your educational background?

I was the first person in my family to go to college. I always wanted to do something related to computers so I pursued a degree in Computer Science ad Clemson University. It turns out that I made a good choice because I've enjoyed programming from day one and I've been doing it for many years since then.

When did you join GSSM?

April 2018

What’s the best thing about working at GSSM?

The degree of autonomy I am able to work with is unparalled when compared to any other job I've ever had. Additionally, this is the first time that I've ever worked with a group of people that are not only extremely intelligent but they also care deeply about what they're doing.

What is your perfect pizza?

Go ahead and hate me. I like pineapple on my pizza.

Who inspires you and why?

My wife. It sounds cheesy but it’s the truth. She’s the best thing to have ever entered my life. She excels in ways that I could not even attempt and she keeps me striving ever higher.

What’s the best thing about Hartsville?

Compared to where I came from, the absolute lack of traffic everywhere and at all times is wonderful.

What quotation tells us the most about you?

Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “What is important is seldom urgent and what is urgent is seldom important.”

If you could invite any historical figure to dinner, who would it be, and why?

There's a lot of possible options, but there's absolutely no downside to a night out with George Carlin.

Care to share something about yourself that others would not expect?

I’ve spent my life being glued to my computer or a video game, but I’ve always wanted to get into woodworking. I’ve recently dipped my toe in by refinishing a dresser for our baby and I now I’ve got the itch to find some new tools and a new project to use them on.
