Eagles Run Away with State Championships

Continuing a successful athletic season, the Eagles Track Teams dominated in the 1A State Championships in Irmo on Saturday.
 
Ms. Kalea Jackson reports:
 
Both the men's and women's track teams competed at the state championship. Across both teams we competed in 14 events and medaled in 12. The women placed 1st overall in the state and the men placed 4th. The individual results go as follows:
 
Women:
-4x800m (Darby Porter, Aalia Malik, Gracie Collins, Kaitlyn Rodman, and Nina Krasnoff) Silver
-100m Hurdles (Victoria Paul) Gold
-1600m (Kaitlyn Rodman) Silver
-400m (Jordan Rajcok) 8th
-400m Hurdles (Victoria Paul) Gold
-800m (Gracie Collins) 5th
-3200m (Darby Porter) Silver
-Long Jump (Victoria Paul) Silver
-Pole Vault (RIta Alan) Gold
The women brought home a lot of hardware; 3 gold medals and 4 silver.
 
Men:
-4x800m (Brendan McManamon, Kollin Campbell, Richard Sandvoss, Austin Geer)Gold
-1600m (Brendan McManamon)Silver and (Richard Sandvoss) 4th
-400m (Austin Geer) Silver
-800m (Austin Geer) Gold and (Richard Sandvoss) 4th
-3200m (Brendan McManamon) Gold and(Richard Sandvoss)  4th
 
The men did a phenomenal job. Only competing with 4 members they also brought home a lot of hardware; 3 gold and 3 silver.
