Alumni Association
The GSSM Alumni Association provides opportunities for alumni to stay connected and to support the School. In addition to numerous networking opportunities - whether social, professional, or educational - the Association also offers an opportunity to give back through participation in the classroom as mentors, speakers, panelists, on alumni boards and committees, and by attending programs and events. We recognize that alumni voices are crucial to showing current and future GSSM students their options and potential.
At GSSM, we make a special effort to reach out to our graduates wherever they are. Alumni can create a profile in our Alumni Directory. This online feature is a free, password-protected way to connect with your classmates, find other Govies in your geographic area or career field, and update your contact information. Alumni can also check out the GSSM Alumni Facebook Page, where school and alumni news is posted regularly.
GSSM graduates around the world maintain their connection to the School through the Alumni Association. Be in charge of your future and stay connected with us!

The Outstanding Alum Award is presented annually by the GSSM Alumni Association to a person who, through their post-GSSM education, work, and personal endeavors, exemplifies the success one can achieve through the foundation of a GSSM education. Past recipients include educators, engineers, entertainers, lawyers, physicians, and more. Criteria for the award include post-GSSM education, work, and personal endeavors; commitment to GSSM and/or the State of South Carolina; and commitment to “spreading the word” and increasing the reach of GSSM on the state or national stage.
