- Honorary & Memorial Gifts
A gift in memory or in honor of a teacher, student, alumnus, or friend is a meaningful way to recognize a person's life and accomplishments. When an honorary or memorial gift is received, the Foundation notifies the honoree or family and the gift is administered as the contributor specifies. Donors are asked to provide the Foundation with the name and address of those whom you would like notified.
- Endowed Memorial Funds
The GSSM community mourns together when we lose one of our members. A meaningful way to honor someone's life is to make a gift in their memory.
Family members and friends may choose to endow a fund in memory of their loved one(s) that supports a specific aspect of the GSSM experience. Current endowed memorial funds include:
- Breckin Muzzy Interim Scholarship Fund
- Patz Fowle Creative Courage Scholarship Fund
- Class of 2001 Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Corey Claytor Scholarship
- Dr. Carolyne Williams Scholarship Fund
Establish a Fund
If you would like to establish an endowed memorial fund, please contact GSSM Foundation Executive Director Beth Dinndorf at 803-252-9152 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Matching Gifts
Many employers have corporate matching gift programs. Donors can often double their gifts through these programs. Each company has different guidelines, so donors are encouraged to check with their company's personnel or human resources office for the necessary forms.
Donors may wish to pledge over a number of months/years. The Foundation will send an invoice according to the schedule a donor chooses.
