Awards, Honors, and Achievements

  • Dr. Kaczkowski is a Professional Engineer registered in NY, NC, SC, GA, and FL. One of the projects where she served as the Principal Engineer and Project Manager is Nags Head 2011 Beach Nourishment (North Carolina). It is the largest locally funded beach nourishment accomplished to date in the United States and won the 2013 Engineering Excellence Award of American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of South Carolina. Several projects where Dr. Kaczkowski led and supervised were awarded as Best Restored Beaches by the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA), including Sagaponack-Bridgehampton Beaches (NY), Nags Head Beach (NC), Seabrook Island (SC), Isle of Palms (SC).

Dr. Kaczkowski is a longtime supporter of the Arts, and currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors at the Southeastern Professional School of the Arts (SPSA). SPSA is a non-profit organization, and partners with the Southeastern School of Ballet (SSB) to provide classical ballet training to students spanning different age groups and skill levels.
