Early experiences with STEM help to build students’ confidence with new technologies. That’s why we’ve created ENGAGE.

"The BEST thing out there for computer science is ENGAGE."

Delivered by GSSM’s Center for Science Education & Outreach, ENGAGE is designed to impact students through early interest and awareness of STEM studies. 

One four-week after-school ENGAGEMENT will be delivered this spring to 4th and 5th grade students in Darlington County. Activities will center on computer programming, art, and story elements through video game design using Scratch technology.
