Early experiences with STEM help to build students’ confidence with new technologies. That is why we have created ENGAGE.
"I would recommend this to my friends because my friends and I had a lot of fun in this program and we were learning at the same time!" -ENGAGE student
"The after school programs have been a great opportunity for my child to try new things." - ENGAGE parent
Delivered by GSSM’s Center for Science Education & Outreach, ENGAGE is designed to impact students through early interest and awareness of STEM studies.
One four-week after-school ENGAGEMENT will be offered this semester to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Darlington County.
Circuits & More Circuits: Activities will center on the fundamentals of electrical circuits through bread boarding and electronics. Students will use critical thinking skills and deductive reasoning as they explore ways to create electrical circuits using a variety of materials.
