Do you like to play video games? Have you ever wanted to create your own video games?

Early experiences with STEM help to build students’ confidence with new technologies. That is why we have created ENGAGE.

"The BEST thing out there for computer science is ENGAGE."

Delivered by GSSM’s Center for Science Education & Outreach, ENGAGE is designed to impact students through early interest and awareness of STEM studies.

One four-week after-school ENGAGEMENT will be delivered this fall to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Darlington County. Activities will center on computer programming, art, and story elements through video game design using Scratch technology.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ENGAGE
  • Eight sessions of captivating STEM fun
  • Opportunities to connect with GSSM’s residential students who will serve as instructors and role models
  • Snacks will be provided
